Trader Joe's Lemon Stuffed Olives

Here at Trader Joe’s—particularly during the holidays—we’re big on Chalkidki olives. That’s because Chalkidiki olives are big on flavor, big on buttery texture, and, well, generally quite big. That makes them especially ideal for stuffing with other foods that complement their bold and briny flavor profiles, as can be seen (or more importantly, tasted) in our creamy, tangy, and super savory Blue Cheese Stuffed Chalkidiki Olives. New for this year, we have Trader Joe’s Lemon Stuffed Olives, which take a decidedly more citric approach to yield similarly sumptuous results.

To make each batch, our supplier in Greece starts with pitted, generously-sized Chalkidiki Olives, cured according to Greek tradition to ensure a firm, meaty texture and full, fruity flavor. They then stuff each Olive with tart and zesty Lemon peel, pack them in brine, and send them our way, where they await being added to cocktails, mezze plates, and charcuterie boards by you. We recommend serving them with cheeses, slicing them and using as a topping for homemade pizza and focaccia, and simply snacking on them, right out of the jar. We also recommend picking them up from your neighborhood Trader Joe’s sooner rather than later, as supplies are limited.
